Terms of Service

1. Provider and scope

These terms govern the use of the LDiHK website and analytics console (the "Service"), provided by LDiHK, Munich, Germany ("we"). Contact: contact@ldihk.xyz. By uploading data or using the console you accept these terms. How we handle personal data is described in ourPrivacy Policy.

2. The Service

LDiHK lets you upload data exports from social media platforms, analyses your usage patterns and compares them with other people and with published research. The Service is a free prototype created for the EuroTech x Hong Kong Talent Exchange Hackathon 2026 in Munich; it is not a commercial or insurance product. Features may change, be interrupted or be discontinued at any time.

3. No medical advice

All results, including the risk indicator on the health tab, are for information and self-reflection only. They are based on statistical associations from research and on estimates (for example of watch time), are not a diagnosis and do not replace advice from a doctor or psychotherapist. If you are in distress, contact a health professional or your local emergency number.

4. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

5. Your LDiHK-ID

Your LDiHK-ID is the only key to your data. Keep it secret and do not share it. We cannot restore a lost ID, and anyone who knows your ID can view and delete your data. Tell us immediately if you believe someone else has it.

6. Your uploads

• Upload only data exports of your own accounts, which you are entitled to use.
• Do not upload other people's data, illegal content or files designed to harm the Service.
• You keep all rights to your data. You allow us to process it only as far as needed to provide the Service as described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete it at any time with "Delete My Data".

7. Acceptable use

Do not try to access other users' data, bypass rate limits or security measures, overload the Service, or use it for automated mass requests. We may block access that violates these terms.

8. Third-party services

The Service uses YouTube API Services. By using the Service you also agree to theYouTube Terms of Service. LDiHK is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube, Google, Instagram, Meta or TikTok.

9. Availability and warranty

The Service is provided free of charge and "as is". We do not guarantee that it is always available, error-free or that results are complete or accurate. Statutory rights that cannot be excluded remain unaffected.

10. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under mandatory statutory provisions (such as product liability law). For slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential obligations, limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise our liability is excluded, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Ending use

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your data with "Delete My Data". We may discontinue the Service; if we do, we will delete all user data.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always available here; for significant changes we will inform you in the console. If you continue to use the Service after a change, the new terms apply.

13. Governing law

The law of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
